‘I Was a Huge Baby’: When Paige Spiranac Detailed the Nuances of Delivering Criticism

Paige Spiranac is one of the most famous golfers. She recently surpassed Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson to become the world’s most-followed golfer. With a massive Instagram following of 3.6 Million, Spiranac is also heavily subjected to cyberbullying.


However, the retired pro golfer recently started to be an online critic on various games, including the NFL. She learned how to distinguish between the two. Spiranac also learned how criticizing someone doesn’t always have to be a case of bullying. Thus, she expressed her opinions on the same.

Recently, Paige Spiranac has been seen claiming her place as a critic in the sports world. A few days back, the former professional golfer took a hit on the NFL Team, Los Angeles Rams.

Spiranac, however, was not as blunt of a critic long back though. It took her time and establishing workable problems to get here.

Balance is definitely the key when it comes to giving a positive critique that would enforce the player to get better at it. Paige Spiranac is no stranger to being bullied online. From her clothing choices to her playing strategy and the updates on her career, she has been trolled on it all.

She said, “It was hard because now I want to have a ‘hot take’, but sometimes it comes at the expense of someone else, and not in a way that’s bullying. I was just soft. I was a huge baby. You do have to have a good sense of humor, you have to be able to laugh things off”.

Paige and her experience with cyberbullying

The social media celebrity has made it a point to raise awareness on the topic of cyberbullying. She is currently working very closely with a charity called Cybersmile. Cybersmile is a non-profit which provides global support and educational programs to help combat cyberbullying.

Truly, cyberbullying is a real problem and needs rectification from the ends of all those involved, directly or indirectly.
