Woods got divorced from Elin Nordegren in 2010. The ex-couple have two children: Sam and Charlie. The kids were very young when the couple decided to call it quits. But Woods decided to take responsibility to be honest with them about the situation before they grew older.

Woods was adamant about telling his kids that it was he who made mistakes that led to their parent’s separation. “I was to blame, and so I’m taking initiative with the kids,” He spoke up in an interview with TIME, “We’ve worked so hard at co-parenting, to make sure that their lives are fantastic… and told them upfront, ‘Guys, the reason why we’re not in the same house, why we don’t live under the same roof, mummy and daddy, is because daddy made some mistakes’,”

The reason he did this was because he didn’t want his kids to find out what happened from someone else. He said he wanted his kids to know it from him first. He also claimed that he would tell them the actual reason after they’ve grown up.

Heading towards the end of 2021. Tiger Woods competed alongside his 12-year-old son Charlie. The two came second to father-son duo John Daly and John Daly II at the PGA Tour Family Tour. Tiger Woods has made a lot of mistakes, but it is nice to know that the man is working to keep things good with his children.
