The much anticipated 2023 Scottish Open is taking place at the gorgeous Renaissance Club, which is set amid the Scottish coastline. The event will be a four-day strong play from 13th-16th of July 2023, and promises to be a lifetime experience for not just the players, but also the cheering audience. But alongside this tournament, there are two other events taking place, the Barbasol Championship and the Bridgestone SENIOR PLAYERS Championship, also known as Kaulig Companies Championship.
Thus, because of the clash in the time frames of the tournaments, several players are naturally not able to participate in more than one. Hence, the three time major winner Padraig Harrington, discloses his heart-wrenching thoughts about the experience.

Padraig Harrington expresses his concern about his experience
After the completion of round 1 of the 2023 Scottish Open, Byeong Hun An was in the lead, and now the game has headed towards round 2. Thus, as the final day approaches, the pace of the competition is escalating. Besides this ongoing celebrated event, there is also the Bridgestone SENIOR PLAYERS Championship that is taking place simultaneously. But Harrington, who is already playing in Scottish Open, cannot participate in both at the same time.

Hence, despite securing a good score of 7-under and swinging his club well on the historic golf course, the Irish golfer feels a sense of incompleteness in himself.
In a recent interview, the 51-year-old said, “I’m missing the Players Championship. That’s what I’m doing today. I wish they’d change the date, but, you know, I’ve got to be here for the Scottish Open, Links golf…I like playing links golf and I like the experience and I feel like I can challenge anybody on links golf courses and I’ve done nicely so far seven under par keeps me in there for the weekend.”

In addition to this, the tweet of the interview also had a caption, “Padraig Harrington hates to miss the @KauligChamp, but he’s off to a hot start @ScottishOpen” focusing on the part that Harrington was upset about not getting to attend Kaulig Companies Championship, though he is having a great time at Scottish Open Championship.

How Harrington plans to approach the rest of the 2023 Scottish Open
With a position of T5 on the leaderboard and an outstanding score, the golf pro decides to continue playing the way he is and keep his performance to the utmost quality. He addedly plans to just drop the putts rightly inside the holes and that will suffice the game plan for him.
