The Swedish golfer Ludvig Aberg captured the European Masters just 75 days into his professional journey. Through his consistent and stunning performances thereafter, he even secured himself a place in Europe’s Ryder Cup team in Rome in 2023. All these accolades, however, were still not enough to see him take home the Rookie of the Year Award.

While the young golfer missed out on the rookie race, losing to Eric Cole, his confidence remains unshaken. This was evident during the Sentry press conference, where he confidently showcased the success of his remarkable debut. Aberg’s self-assurance stems from a clear understanding of his qualities, reinforcing the impact of his triumphs.

During the press conference at the Plantation Course at Kapalua on Wednesday, he responded with confidence when asked about his rapid success on the PGA Tour. When queried about whether he was surprised by it, Aberg asserted, “I wouldn’t say surprised. I think at the end of the day I know my qualities.”
