It was none other than famous serial streaker Mark Roberts, who took a chance to mess with Daly right after his victory.

When Daly was asked about his reaction to what had happened, he replied in a way that made everyone laugh. “Well you know, I heard he was a cop… It’s a little embarrassing. I mean, you know, I sign a lot of stuff, but that’s one picture I won’t sign… I’m not signing a guy’s a** I’m sorry. ” He said.

Mark Roberts got his name in golf’s history after streaking Daly.

Roberts has undoubtedly cemented his place in sports history, as the image of the naked man that everyone will always remember. When he talked about the event later, he said, “All the police who had come after me, were running in a straight line; about four of them in total. I couldn’t help laughing as I ran, especially when I heard my mate say ‘slow down will you?'”

When Roberts ran the naked mile across the field, he was watched by an ex-president and royalty. “I turned around again and saw him going red in the face… and then saw George Bush and Prince Andrew clap and cheer,” he said.

Mark Roberts said in 2018 that he had streaked at 568 events and originally wanted to meet and congratulate Daly when he beat Costantino Rocca. Sadly, for Daly, the ‘Wild Thing’, it was not a memorable day for him as was for Roberts.
