It’s been years since Paige Spiranac played golf professionally! Her present-day recognition primarily stems from her business and social media endeavors rather than her golfing prowess. However, even today, she faces some of the same problems that she faced as a pro all those years ago. And with today marking a special seven-year anniversary for the ex-golf pro, one such struggle comes to light!

In the past few years, the social media icon has transitioned from a golf pro to a golf influencer, and despite her massive career change, she’s seen consistency in one thing. Unfortunately, that was in no way positive for her!

The accomplished ex-golfer recently reposted one of her tweets from seven years ago, where she excitedly informed her fans about the day marking the anniversary of her first professional win on the Cactus Tour. The golf pro shot 71, 74, and 68 in the three rounds to earn her first win!

But it wasn’t just the happy win the golf queen highlighted. She also added that since then and even today, people have believed that she was not a skilled golfer and couldn’t shoot low rounds. “Crazy how much life has changed! But one thing did not,” she wrote. “7 years later, I’m still trying to convince people I can actually break 80.”

Breaking 80 is one of the most significant milestones in an amateur golfer’s career because it requires a lot of skill and consistency. It often indicates that a golfer has developed a good level of ball-striking ability, course management skills, and mental composure.

And although, as a pro, she broke the score a while back, she faced the scrutiny of the public with many claiming that she couldn’t do so! In her tweet, the former golf pro also reminisced about her old days. She was stunned to realize how much had changed in her life in the last 7 years. But clearly, when it came to the negativity of the fans, nothing had changed!
