Australian professional golfer Jan Stephenson is no less than an absolute ace in women’s golf. With eight worldwide major championship titles on the LPGA Legends Tour, her golfing skills need no introduction. Moreover, she also won 16 LPGA Tour events, including three major championships, after joining the tour in 1974.

Currently, the golf megastar is going through a pretty rough health phase. Not to forget, Stephenson revealed that she was battling Stage 3 breast cancer back in February when it was diagnosed. However, she also made clear her intentions to fight the health disaster as strongly as possible.

Thankfully, her recent battle-with-cancer update has come as a relief to millions of her well-wishers. “I’m very lucky, I don’t know why I haven’t had any of the reactions you normally get with chemo,” she revealed. “I haven’t had any nausea or any diarrhea. I haven’t lost my taste and appetite, which they’re surprised at. They think it’s maybe because I’m so strong.” Well, there is no doubting the fact that Jan Stephenson is as strong off the course as she has been on the field!

Has Stephenson started recovering from breast cancer?

As per her recent update, the golf star is currently witnessing great signs of improvement in her fight against cancer. With minimal reactions and side effects from chemotherapy, Stephenson revealed how her tumors have started to slowly disappear! “The tumors are all disappearing,” she said. “So I only have two more [treatments] to go, and then I get a six-week break so I can get back to practicing.”

It is almost like the golf star can’t wait to step on the course once again and get to swinging. However, looking at her recovery rate, it wouldn’t be surprising to see her back in action in a few months!
