Over the years, the players at the PGTI, who are mostly Indians, have used the Tour as a stepping stone to get into the Asian Tour. In 2009, the PGTI became a member of the International Federation of PGA Tours.

Despite that, it took the Tour a decade to become part of the Official World Golf Rankings system. All that is going to further enhance from next season onwards for the PGTI.

DP World Tour will have players from PGTI, thanks to PGA Tour

In recent months, the alliance between PGA Tour and the European Tour has only gotten much stronger since the inception of LIV Golf. A few days ago, both Tours announced the expansion of their relationship with the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association.

Nonetheless, earlier today, the Tours further spread their hands within the Asian subcontinent, by adding the PGTI to their list of Tours. The strategic partnership among the Tours will provide the PGTI players and members with much better opportunities.
