The teenager was not in pain, and the ball was not affecting his bowel movements. An X-ray showed the golf ball was lodged in the boy’s sigmoid colon, making removal challenging for the doctors. An intensive procedure to physically extract the ball went on for two hours under general anesthesia. Despite trying various methods, such as a suction cup, medical net, quad-prong grasper, and balloon catheter, the doctors were unable to achieve success.
