As per Golf Monthly, the championship has a big prize money of $1.5 million. The prize money for this year is the same as that of last year, hinting at no hike in prize money. This year, there’s a new price called the Order of Merit, and it’s $100,000. It goes throughout the first season of the DP World Tour, which has six events. The leaders of this Order of Merit will be invited to the first Rolex event in 2024.

Other local players in the mix are Ockie Strydom, Christiaan Bеzuidеnhout, Shaun Norris, and Daniel Van Tondеr, the 2021 winner.
