Golf reporter Amanda Balionis was on the Valhalla Golf Course covering the final round of the 2024 PGA Championship. But what caught many viewers’ attention was Amanda not wearing her wedding ring. So fans wondered if she was still married to the football coach, Bryn Renner. Neither the 19th Hole reporter nor her husband has made any public announcement. But this was not the first time she wasn’t wearing the wedding ring. 

The former NFL player and the CBS journalist got engaged in 2021. She took to social media and posted pictures from her special day and captioned the post, “Hey @BrynRenner…forever sounds kinda perfect.” They got married in 2022. Renner is currently the quarterbacks coach at Florida International University. His current stint at FLU started in 2017. Before that, Renner worked with the Panthers. 

On the other hand, Balionis is a famous face in CBS broadcasting covering golf, college football and the NFL. But she’s more inclined to golf, due to her parents. During her childhood, she was a junior golf player, but later chose another sport. Amanda had revealed in an old interview, “I played junior golf for a few years; my parents loved playing with me, but the minute I had to carry my own bag and walk nine holes by myself, I was like, ‘Eh, you know what, I’m going to go join the swim team.”

The 38-year-old, who quit playing golf, interviews golfers, sometimes at the driving range, and at times, like after the third round of the PGA Championship, on the greens. Her Instagram feed is mostly filled with snippets from her interviews with golfers. However, one of those posts started a wildfire that’s still raging strong. 

A few months back, many eagle-eyed fans noticed the journalist wasn’t wearing the wedding ring on her Instagram post interviewing various golfers. Once again, at the Masters, the eyes were on the empty finger. Many fans commented on her Instagram post, why she wasn’t wearing the ring. “If she’s married why doesn’t she have a ring on national tv??? Weird,” “Amanda Balionis NO RING on Monday at the Masters, what’s up with that?” filled the social media channels. 

Reportedly, the CBS reporter has also changed her X (formerly Twitter) username to Amanda Balionis Renner to only Amanda Balionis. But Balionis hasn’t given any importance to the noise. The 34-year-old has kept her family life private so far. However, that didn’t stop many from coming up with rumors linking Rory McIlroy with the journalist.

He will not be making any further comment.” Regardless, some already think McIlroy has found his new partner.
