As per the recent development where the PGA Tour is merging with LIV Golf, many are assuming that LIV golfers are allowed to play at the event. Although the merger is in progress, as per the reports, all of the tours will stay independent during the rest of 2023, and all of their tournaments will go ahead as planned. This implies that the competition is only open to LIV golfers who have earned a spot in the US Open.
