Davis Riley was quick to make his name on the PGA Tour circuit with his debut in 2022. However, his career trajectory took a hit in the following year as the 27-year-old found it difficult to be in contention and win on the American Circuit. Riley bagged his maiden victory on the PGA Tour at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2023.

Now, after nearly a year, Riley is once again one of the top contenders who could don the tartan plaid jacket on Sunday. The PGA Tour took the top spot on the leaderboard after the second round of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Through the ups and downs of his golf journey, the person who has been a constant support is his wife and the love of his life, Alexandra Patton!

Alexandra Patton’s early life and professional life

Sutton Alexandra Patton was born on April 27, 1997, to Mark and Teresa Patton in Texas. Patton has a younger sibling, Harrison Patton. Though her family is small, the 27-year-old has always been closer to them, more so to her grandparents. However, in 2018, she lost her grandmother and dedicated an emotional post to remember the bittersweet memories they shared.

Patton always had a knack for sports and especially enjoyed football. During her school days at Nacogdoches High School, she became a part of the school’s cheerleading squad. After graduating from high school in 2014, she pursued further education at the University of Alabama.

The Texas native continued her love for dancing and cheerleading while studying hospitality management. In her senior year of college, she became the Director of Choreography for Homecoming. Eventually, Patton graduated with a degree in event management and started working at Phi Mu Alpha Zeta. This was the sorority where Patton spent her four precious college years. However, the stint with Phi Mu was short and Patton changed her career a few months later.

According to her LinkedIn profile and Golf Monthly, Alexandra Patton started working at Deloitte in 2019 after leaving Phi Mu Alpha Zeta. She started as Executive Coordinator in the consulting and servicing firm and after two years of hard work, in 2021, Patton was promoted to the position of Senior Experienced Hire Recruiting Coordinator.

Moreover, the 27-year-old also held a part-time position at the Pilates Barre as an instructor. Currently, Patton has stopped working and accompanies Davis Riley to every stop he makes on the PGA Tour. The Texas native has also followed Riley to the Colonial Country Club and is supporting him from inside the ropes as he strides towards his second PGA Tour victory.

From the time of his collegiate career to when he moved to Korn Ferry Tour, Patton had always been with Riley. In 2020, when the PGA Tour pro won the two titles on the Korn Ferry Tour; the TPC San Antonio Championship at the Oaks and the Panama Championship, Patton was there to support Riley. After years of struggling when Riley became Tour-bound in 2021, Patton celebrated the moment and said, “Can’t wait to continue being your #1 fan” even on the PGA Tour.

The couple has been together for some years now but how did their paths cross?

While Alexandra Patton was studying business and hospitality at the University of Alabama, Davis Riley was a hot player for the Crimson Red’s golf roster. The two crossed paths during their university days and started dating in October 2017. The couple has been together for more than 7 years, but they did not get married until 2022.

In February 2022, Riley popped the question at Highland Park in Texas. Patton obviously said yes and broke the news on her Instagram handle by saying, “You are the man of my dream…There has never been an easier yes; I cannot wait to spend forever with you,” as she flaunted her diamond ring. Nine months after the engagement, the two tied the knot.

At Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek Park in Texas, the two were joined by their families and friends on December 17th, 2022, to bear witness and to start life as newlyweds. It has been two years since their marriage, so do they have any children? The couple has yet to welcome their firstborn, but they do have a cockapoo white dog named Bank, who is always with the two on and off the course.
