The 2024 Masters Tournament is right around the corner! Getting an invite to the first major of the season is a dream for many, but it is not a cakewalk to obtain one. For a golfer to be eligible to partake in this highly revered “Granddaddy of Them All [Majors]” requires a lot of hard work; participants to be either in the Top 50 of the OWGR, previously won Masters, have won one of the remaining 3 majors or the PLAYERS Championship (Tenure for the same depends on the year in which the event was won) or any other criteria specified.

With the field of the 88th Masters looking strong, it will also have LIV’s own Dustin Johnson. How? Well, Johnson obtained the lifetime exemption, all thanks to his 2020 Masters Tournament’s win. The golfer scored a record total of 20-under par 268 and won the green jacket.

He defeated Cameron Smith and Sungjae Im, both of whom finished tied for second, exactly five strokes behind with a score of 15-under-par, making it his best Masters appearance since his first appearance in 2009. He has made an impressive total of five top-10 finishes in the Georgia-based event since.

His worst performance came during his 13th start which was last year. He finished at T48 with a score of 8-over-par. How will DJ’s 14th start be? It remains to be seen, but for now, other than DJ, a few more golfers from LIV clan will be there.

Which other LIV Golf players are part of the 2024 Masters?

Apart from the two-time major winner, there are 12 other LIV golfers on this year’s Masters roster. This has big golf world names like Cameron Smith, Joaquin Niemann, Tyrrell Hatton, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Adrian Meronk, Brooks Koepka, Bubba Watson, and Charl Schwartzel, among others.
