Has John Daly returned to pro golf?
John Daly recently went through a painful yet necessary platelet-rich plasma procedure on his left knee. The golfer has been going through a condition called “knock knee,” for some time now. If not taken care of, it can cause joint damage as well as early-onset knee arthritis. And the corrective procedure involves taking blood from the hip, and spinning it around in a centrifuge before it is re-injected into the left knee. It was not new to Daly since he went through the same for his right knee previously.

The golfer’s last appearance was at Sanford International. But he had to withdraw after his opening round. He also informed his fans about the same saying that he would return in 2023. However, choosing the PRP procedure has helped him to return to the field way before expected. And when asked about his motivation for the same, he said, “Because I love Jimmy and Tabitha so much…I’m here for them.”
Whereas many players start looking at their retirement as soon as they are 50, Daly at the age of 56 has no plans to quit. The golfer is still making millions of dollars playing golf and through sponsorships. However, he also had plans to shift to the new LIV Golf league like many of his friends. But he was rejected by Greg Norman to be a part of the Saudi Circuit. So fans can rest easy since their favorite golfer is back on the field to play some of his best shots.
