She debuted on Fitzpatrick’s social media at the beginning of 2023 during a golf trip to Hawaii for the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Given the gravity of the event, an elated Fitzpatrick shared some pictures on his social media with the caption, “2023 Kicked off in Maui!” That single post announced their relationship on Instagram in January 2023.

Following that eventful moment, the couple made their first significant public appearance together in February 2023 at the premiere of Netflix’s docuseries ‘Full Swing,’ which featured Fitzpatrick. Shortly after, Gaal appeared in his episode of ‘Full Swing’ and later in the second season, in the episode focusing on Alex Fitzpatrick, Matt’s younger brother. The couple traveled to Wimbledon together in July 2023, and by the end of the year, they were engaged. Their love story continued, and the couple finally tied the knot in October 2024!

Katherine Gaal was born on August 15, 1991, in New Jersey and attended Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated with a GPA of 3.67, double majoring in finance and broadcast journalism. In addition to these degrees, Gaal also earned an Alternative Route to Teaching certification for K-6 and special education students.

After completing her academic journey, Gaal began her career as a paraprofessional at Bay Head School while obtaining her teaching certification. She then worked as a tennis professional at the Bay Head Yacht Club. In 2013, she participated in the Miss New Jersey USA pageant, finishing as the first runner-up. The following year, she received an Amity Award, voted on by her fellow contestants.

Having already achieved so much, Gaal accepted the role of sales marketing manager at 2 River Group in New Jersey in 2015. She joined Commvault, a company specializing in data protection and software development, in April 2019. Since January 2021, she has served as the regional marketing manager for the southeastern United States.
