Buick LPGA Shanghai is around the corner, and the list includes the names of some of the best players in the women’s golf league. When you read ‘The Best,’ does your mind also echo Nelly Korda’s name? Well, it’s understandable, as it is about the world’s No. 1 golfer. Before you get all excited to see her on the greens, just break the bubble and get back to reality, as NELLY KORDA won’t be there.

Why, you ask? Well, the reasons could be many, one of which is her busy schedule. The year 2024 has been historic for the 26-year-old golfer, making her fans proud. Speaking of her accomplishments, she has showcased her impeccable skills on the course, including her victory at the 2024 Chevron Championship, which marked the second major championship win of her career. Additionally, she played a significant role in helping the U.S. team secure victory in the Solheim Cup this year.

Most recently, the American professional secured a T4 position in the Kroger Queen City Championship. The tournament took place from September 19 to 22, marking her latest appearance on the tour.

Although Korda participated in most of the matches this year, her absence didn’t go unnoticed in the rest. To name a few JM Eagle LA Championships, NW Arkansas Championships, and now Buick LPGA Shanghai will also be marked by her absence.

Is her absence related to any serious issue? Well, luckily not, as Korda is currently preparing herself for the showdown at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, as seen in her recent Instagram post.

How is October scheduled for the Nelly Korda?

Already a week into October, and we haven’t gotten a glimpse of Korda on the Greens since her last tour. Well, it seems like the wait is over as the golfer’s schedule includes several important tournaments in the LPGA. As aforementioned, the Buick LPGA Shanghai, which is scheduled from October 10–13, will be missed by Korda. The wait isn’t over there, as her next on-course appearance will fall on October 17 in the BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea, which will conclude on October 20.

Next, the beloved golfer will be seen swinging her clubs in the upcoming Maybank Championship, which is set to take place from October 24th to 27th.
