Months earlier, in June 2022, renowned golf analyst Brandel Chamblee took to his social media handle, asking for the removal of Phil Mickelson from the elite list. As per the social media post, Chamblee accused Phil Mickelson and Greg Norman (former golfer, now the CEO of LIV Golf) of dishonoring the game and threatening to destroy it. Thus, the golf world is quite divided.

Considering the aura of Mickelson, the post took no time to ignite social media banter in the golf world. While one section of the golfing community backed Chamblee’s proposal, another section took no time to express their disapproval for the same. However, four months after the social media post, the governing bodies are yet to come up with a decision about LIV Golfers being part of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
