The 2022 Masters is finally over, with Scottie Scheffler winning the event on Sunday. The World Number One won his first major championship at Augusta National on April 10th. Moreover, with Scheffler winning his first green jacket, will the 25-year-old American professional be the next Tiger Woods in golf?

On Sunday, the four-time PGA Tour winner proved that he deserves the ultimate spot in golf. Scottie emphatically won the 2022 Masters in the final round on Sunday. Moreover, during the tough round at Augusta National was dialed in throughout the final round on Sunday with only one mission to win big at the Masters.

Scottie showcased a champion’s mentality throughout his four rounds at Augusta. He made some clutch putts, and the thing that stood out throughout the event was his short game. Making those critical up and downs like one on the third hole in his final round had a par bogey written all over it made a hole out for birdie. Scottie Scheffler Brings Tiger Woods Vibes at the Augusta National in Front of the Man Himself

Moreover, it is his determination to win and his attitude that matches Tiger. But statistics-wise, too, he is following his footsteps and even beating the World Golf Hall of Fame member in some instances. After Scottie’s win yesterday, he is the fifth professional to enter the Masters at the World Number One in the Official World Golf Rankings and then goes on to win the major championship event. As a result, he joined the likes of Tiger Woods and three others who have done the same.

He is also the second professional to win four times in a PGA Tour season, including a World Golf Championship event and a major championship. The other professional to do the same is the 15-time major championship winner, Woods. He is also the second professional to win four Tour events by the end of the Masters week after David Duval in 1999. It is a record that event Tiger does not hold.

Moreover, with lots of events still to be played by the World Number One, it is not a distant dream that his name will be taken with probably games best Tiger Woods. However, only time will tell if he will be able to become the next Tiger Woods in golf.

What did Tiger Woods shoot in his final round?

In his first official event since the 2021 November Masters, Woods played brilliantly. Moreover, he played good golf under challenging conditions at Augusta on Sunday. Tiger shot a final round of six-over-par, 78. As a result, he finished with an overall score of 13-over-par. Woods ended the event in solo 47th position. His final round included one birdie and three bogeys on the front nine. As a result, Woods moved out in two-over-par,38. He made two bogeys and one double-bogey on the back nine on Sunday.
