The Masters Fantasy game is returning for the fourth year. Now, your favorite player’s performance will also dictate your fate in earning Masters merchandise. The fantasy league game can be played through the official app or via, the official Masters website. 

Winners across the US, India, and Mexico stand a chance to earn Masters merchandise with Augusta National’s logo etched in the goodies. Here is how you can register and earn exciting prizes without setting foot on the Georgia pitch, which maintaining its tradition has gone through another overhaul this year.

The rules of the Masters Fantasy game

The free-to-play Masters Fantasy follows the rules of any other fantasy league game. You are allowed to select your squad upon registration. Points are given based on how your chosen players perform on a certain day. You can pick four golfers in your team from four categories: Former Masters Champion (31 of 86 this year), United States Players, International Players, and Wild Card. 

Eight points are awarded for a double-eagle, five points for an eagle, whereas, a birdie carries two points. A par save earns one point. But a bogey carries a negative point (-1) and a double bogey or worse will cost you -3 points. Notably, no points will be deducted for amateurs making bogeys or worse.

There are also end-of-round bonuses. If a first-round pick completes the round, you will get one point. Furthermore, if you pick the eventual champion, you will get a five-point bonus, and a runner-up will earn you three points. Whereas, if you happen to choose the low amateur you will get a further five points. 

You can also modify your squad mid-round if anyone misses the cut, withdraws, or is disqualified. But that change has to be made before the next round begins and has to be from the same category of players. You can be a part of a public or private league as well. You can also either play against a group or against your friends in a private virtual space. And here is what you stand to gain from the competition.

The Masters will start from April 11. In case of ties, there will be a tiebreaker question set, which is how many pars will be made throughout four days. If that also fails to break the deadlock, the user who registered first will be crowned the winner. So, don’t dally too long if you want to better your chances.
