Humans use many actions as defense mechanisms, and anger is one of them. However, this defense mechanism did not work well for the former golfer, Paige Spiranac. During her professional golf days, she was stressed and a victim of sudden meltdowns.

Spiranac has a troubled childhood. She was homeschooled and directly encountered the real world in college. Her childhood experience with the gymnast community left her in trauma. And today, she rules the internet with over 11 million followers across all social media. Indeed, she has come a long way. However, the journey from being a feeble child to a golf queen was arduous.

She faced many bumps on the road to success. Today she has many endorsement deals along with a huge fan following. However, things were very different when she used to play golf professionally. Before she left the professional world of golf in 2016, she was the contact name on the ‘watch list’ of the LPGA tour. And the reason was her extreme meltdowns.

The meltdown days of Paige Spiranac

We know a lot about Spiranac as she shares her experiences on her podcast, ‘Playing a Round With Paige Spiranac.’ Last year in April, she shared her Junior golf days experience, which will shock you. She revealed that she once angrily broke a golf club. To keep her in check, they assigned a professional player to follow her on the course so that they could monitor her behavior. She was on the verge of getting kicked out, as they said, “If you do that again, you are going to get kicked off.”

However, she said about Horschel’s breakdown, “I got mad a lot.” Even her parents disliked her anger issues and warned her to calm down. If she was not going to take control of her emotions, it was better that she stopped playing. Talking about her parent’s feelings, she said, “My parents didn’t like when I would get angry, and they said it was just unbecoming, so if I ever showed that kind of emotion again, I probably shouldn’t be playing.”

The 29-year-old former golfer admitted that when things did not go according to her, the former pro would swing and hiss, tossing clubs and acting “psychotic.” The sexiest American woman also revealed her on-course attitude. She was either serene or very frustrated; she had no middle ground. The internet queen struggled with rage issues throughout her practice sessions.
