The year was tough for her, and the victory was a great way to reach the no.1 position again. Talking about her feelings, she said, “Super nice, yeah, has a nice ring to it. It’s been really nice to see my parents, but yeah, it’s been tough.”

Tears followed her words, and there was a sob-fest for her. As the female golfer on the LPGA tour, the reporter further asked about her feelings about gaining the number one spot again. The overwhelmed Korda was still wiping her tears, and she said she worked hard for the victory. Despite her encountering bad luck in earlier events, she was happy now. She said she “worked really hard during my few weeks off and feels good to be back on top.”

The number 1 female golfer mentioned that the win did not come easy. Weeks of hard work is what landed her on the victory pedestal. Despite missing two cuts and Arkansas in Dallas, she kept her head high and kept practicing. Now the results are in front of us, and her fans cannot be happier about Korda’s victory.

Korda claimed her defending title by carding 6-under 64 for a one-shot victory at Pelican Golf Club. In the final round, she hit seven birdies and finished the championship 14-under 196, just one shot ahead of Lexi Thompson.
