Tiger Woods is unquestionably a golf legend. And there appears to be a golf gene in Woods’ blood. The 15-time major winner’s niece is a pro golfer too, and Charlie Woods, his son, has been playing brilliantly in the junior events. Many fans think that Charlie will eventually beat Tiger’s incredible records.

In a recent video clip, Tiger admitted that his son had already surpassed him in one aspect of the game and it has shaken the golf fans.

Tiger Woods recently paired up with Rory McIlroy in ‘The Match’ and faced off against Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas. On the course, a question was directed at Woods about his son Charlie: “Is he out-driving you?”

Woods, without skipping a beat, said, “I hate to say it, but I’ve got to admit it: he finally did it.”

Woods added that he had “spun one” and Charlie had “tomahawked one” and beat Tiger. The golf pro’s words spread like wildfire in the golf community. The fans were in awe of Charlie.

 

A fan also went on to hilariously state that Woods’ rhyming skills in the clip were fantastic.

While a fan lashed out at Tiger, suggesting he was washed, another defended Woods, saying his shot was mis-hit, but then admitted to Charlie’s skill, saying, “It’s imminent to become a regular occurrence.”

The fans are certainly excited to see Charlie take his father’s place as a golf pro.

When will the golf world see Tiger Woods and Charlie play together?

Fans will be able to determine for themselves whose swing is better this week. Charlie and Tiger both play as a team at the PNC Championship next week. They will play in a 36-hole scramble format over two days. The event begins on the 15th with a two-day pro-am meet, followed by the official championship on the 17th.

The duo will be joined by 19 other pro golfers paired up with a family member to compete at the event. PNC Financial Services sponsors the event, and it’s held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. The winners take home the championship belts and a whopping $200,000.

The Woods pair narrowly missed a win last year, losing out to John Daly and his son, John Daly II by 2 strokes. With them also being a part of this year’s field, the fans will hope to see them battle it out again.
