Only the top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings after the season’s regular final event qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The golfer’s performance throughout the season plays an important role in granting them FedEx points. The first two tournaments of the playoffs have a $20 million prize for each event, and the final event, the Tour Championship, is worth $100 million, with the winner walking away with $25 million. Winning it is very difficult, but rewarding. Despite the challenges, LIV golfer Jason Kokrak has a record of being consistent in the tournament.

You might be wondering if he is competing at the TPC Southwind this year. Well, he is not. Kokrak used to play for the PGA Tour and later joined LIV Golf in July 2022, when it was first announced, and since then he has been part of it. After the transition, the pro was ineligible to play in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. However, before his move to the Saudi-backed league, he made it to the FedEx Cup Playoffs every year from 2013 onwards, thanks to his consistency on the tour.
Yes, the 39-year-old had only three victories on Jay Monahan’s Tour, but his remarkable performances, with three runner-up finishes, three third-place finishes, eleven top-5s, and 33 top-10 finishes, earned him a spot in the FedEx Cup Playoffs eight times since 2013. In 2019, he finished in 14th place in the final FedEx Cup standings. Kokrak’s last appearance in the playoffs was at the 2020 FedEx St. Jude Championship. In the same year, he won his first PGA Tour title at the CJ Cup.

Following that, he won the Charles Schwab Challenge and the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Houston Open in 2021. Although he is now part of Greg Norman’s LIV Golf and cannot play in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the golfer’s consistent record of making it to the tournament makes him one of the PGA Tour’s biggest FedEx stars. While he had a decent career on the PGA Tour, what about LIV Golf? How’s Kokrak performing there?

Is Jason Kokrak consistent at LIV Golf as well?
Taking a look at Kokrak as the last five tournaments finish in 2024, it’s been a rollercoaster, to say the least. The golfer finished at T40 at LIV Golf Singapore and later made an incredible jump at LIV Golf Houston, finishing at T18. Surprisingly, his finish at LIV Golf Nashville was the same. However, his performance went a little bit downhill at the Andalucia event, as he finished tied for 35.
But Jason Kokrak bounced back with a T29 finish at LIV Golf UK. The 39-year-old is part of Brooks Koepka’s smash GC and is currently tied for first alongside Talor Gooch at LIV Golf Greenbrier, after the first round. With only LIV Golf Chicago remaining this season after the current tournament, Kokrak’s performance in LIV Golf has been relatively the same as well.
