Florida-based golfer Jessica Korda has been away from her golfing ventures for a long time due to a back injury. As a result, she had to withdraw from many tournaments, including the Honda LPGA Thailand in February, and the Cogzinant Founders Cup in May. 

Now, a recent update has surfaced about the 30-year-old which hints at the LPGA phenom going on a long hiatus. But for another reason this time. This also drew the attention of the LPGA circuit, which merrily backs Korda on this. Let’s dive into the story.

The LPGA phenom made a post about her injury back in May. She said that last year had been extremely challenging for her because of her degrading health condition. She even added that she had been in rehabilitation and was trying everything. But the situation hasn’t improved, which is why she decided on a hiatus.

Now, the 30-year-old has made a recent post on Instagram that has garnered the attention of the golf community lately. In that post, she uploaded a picture of her dog and a small board that bears, “Tee time for 3 coming February 2024” inscribed on it.

Adding to that, the picture also has tiny blue shoes, signifying the fact that she is pregnant. Korda and her long-term boyfriend, Johnny DelPrete, had tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in December 2021. And now they are expecting their first child.

Jessica Korda is a decorated golfer who has won six LPGA Tour events since turning pro in 2010. She is the older sister of the former World No. 1 Nelly Korda.

Golfer Jane Park and Dani Holmqvist also paid a visit to the comment box and wrote, “Jessss!!! congrats to you guys!” and “Congrats! That’s amazing.”

Lydia Ko also expressed her happiness for the new mommy and said, “Yayyyyyy.”

Some fans called it the best news ever, while others complimented the smile sported by Korda’s pup while announcing the news. “Like that bright smile,” wrote one fan referring to the dog. “Congratulations!!! Wishing a healthy and happy journey, you deserve it!!!!!” wrote another.
