“I thought he might’ve seriously had a concussion or something after the first time,” Elkington explained. As a friend and a fellow golfer, the former major champion was concerned about Daly‘s health. However, all the long-hitter cared about at the moment was winning the challenge. He went on to play the second round after taking off his boots to get a better grip.

The next round had the same result; the South Africans crushed the 2-time major champion. Elkington explained that he helped the American golfer to sit on the stairs. He added, “I say (to Daly), ‘Mate, are you ok?’ He said, ‘Yeah, I’m fine.’”
