Golf professionals always fancy making a short put. However, Rahm did not quite feel right on the par 3 seventh hole at Bay Hill. Jon Rahm had left his first putt on the par-three, seventh hole at a comfortable position.

However, the professional missed his second putt, from 10 inches away from the hole.

Rahm seemed to just deaccelerate too much while coming down in his put. As a result, leaving his putt short. According to the PGA Tour’s shot tracker, the putt barely moved an inch.

As a result, Rahm made the record for shortest putt missed in the current season on the PGA Tour. PGA Tour professionals have a make probability of 99.96% from inside one foot.

It must have been truly annoying for the professional to miss the short putt. But this is what golf is about. You don’t know what is gonna happen next. It is truly an unpredictable sport.

Rahmbos’ remarks after missing the short putt

After his round on Thursday, Rahm spoke to the media in his post-round interview. Rahm also spoke about him missing the short putt. But the professional gave a true answer for his miss.

He said, “I wish I could give you all the excuses in the world. But no, it’s as simple as— you know, it just didn’t feel good in my hands, and I tried to stop, and I didn’t. I just simply didn’t stop. I don’t know. It was very odd.”
