Jordan Spieth’s 2025 season on the PGA Tour was marked by some struggles and inconsistency. He played in 19 events but with mixed results. This included 4 top-10 finishes but also a couple of missed cuts. He ended the season ranked 54th in the FedEx Cup standings. A long stretch of uneven results and lingering physical setbacks has put Spieth in a reflective mood as he looks ahead to a fresh start.

The American golfer joined the Golf Channel after “Crush It! The Cup”, the youth golf tournament. During the interview, the Golf Channel’s representative touched upon Spieth’s performance at the Valero Texas Open and how he was grinding on the range. With that in mind, the representative wanted to understand Spieth’s current health condition as we approach the end of the year once again.
“Yeah, I’m very healthy. I, you know, it was nice. Last offseason, I was in a cast after surgery, and this offseason, I really didn’t take much time off once the season ended. I said I wasn’t able to get things right where I wanted them to be. And now I’ve got five months to get them set in stone, so I don’t have to do this bouncing back and forth.” Jordan Spieth told the Gold Channel.

He further added, “I’m healthy. I’m stronger than I’ve been in a long time. And, I mean, we’ve had good weather in town, so I’ve been able to get a lot of work in, but also a lot of family time. It’s been a really good mix and I look forward to teeing it up here in a couple weeks and then, you know, starting off the season in Hawaii.”

The 2022 RBC Heritage winner underwent wrist surgery in the summer of 2024 and faced challenges through the 2025 season recovering from it. His aim was to be back by the 2025 season. “I think that by 2025, by Jan. 1, it’s my goal to be tournament-ready,” Spieth told Golfweek. “And for me, that would be not just going out and seeing how it feels, you know, but expecting to play at my ceiling.”

However, it was not that easy for him. He had to wait till the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February to get back into action. While he played regularly from February 2025, his wrist injury kept flaring up. However, his health was improving. At the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio, he said, “Like my left wrist, just to close my fingers, it feels like it’s twice the size, but after 10, 15 minutes, it’s fine. It doesn’t hurt, it’s not sore, it just is so tight every morning after sleeping. So I think I’m a little surprised that that’s staying that way.”
He then had a neck/upper back injury that caused him to withdraw from the Travelers Championship. But now, Jordan Spieth is in a better position. That’s why he didn’t take a lot of time off the golf course. He balanced his golf preparation with family time, having recently become a father of three, which contributed positively to his offseason.

Besides that, he is hosting the Crush It! The Cup. The event is scheduled to start on November 17, 2025, at Gleneagles Golf & Country Club in Dallas, Texas. It features 40 junior golfers from 57 invited clubs across 18 states. The event aims to raise $250,000 each year for Spieth’s foundation to support youth programs.
Jordan Spieth will tee off in the Bahamas at the Hero World Challenge. It will be an entertaining event hosted by Tiger Woods. While Spieth was not part of it initially, he joined the field at the end of October 2025.

Jordan Spieth ends months-long hiatus at Hero World Challenge
Jordan Spieth will end a nearly three-month hiatus from competitive golf by playing in the 2025 Hero World Challenge. Tiger Woods hosts the event, and fans expected him to be part of the remaining three names on the field. However, his back injury in October made it impossible for the 82x PGA Tour winner to enter the event.
Thus, the organizers announced Jordan Spieth, Billy Horschel, and Akshay Bhatia to join the event as the remaining three golfers. This will mark his first event since the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he finished tied for 38th.
The Hero World Challenge field for 2025 includes other top names like Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Thomas. Spieth has faced criticism for skipping the fall stretch of the PGA Tour season. This is especially because he relied on sponsor exemptions. Despite criticism, Spieth’s return to the Hero World Challenge adds star power to the event. However, Woods’ absence looms large over the golf world.
