The 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club is just around the corner. Phil Mickelson is the defending champion of the major championship event. Moreover, the six-time major championship winner celebrated his triumph at the event last year in style and gave a glimpse of the same through a short clip.

Just a few weeks after his triumph at the 2021 PGA Championship, Mickelson uploaded a short video. He shared the clip through his official Twitter account on June 5, 2021. Moreover, in the clip, the World Golf Hall of Fame member can be seen casually riding in his golf cart along with the Wanamaker Trophy on the left seat of the golf cart. Lefty also spoke a few funny words while celebrating his sixth major championship win.

Moreover, the clip will end with a daily dose of the 45-time PGA Tour winner’s humor, and all the fans from around the globe will enjoy reliving the moment again, till they can see him back at the competitive level. Phil uploaded the video along with a short message saying, “In case you forgot.”

In the video, Phil says, “Good morning everyone, just driving to the club, just me, Mr. Wanamaker. Just your friendly reminder that I won the PGA.” Moreover, Mickelson’s words exude his witty humor. At the same time, it also shows that the American professional may not back down from showing off his achievements to his fans all over the part. However, Phil will not be present at Southern Hills Country Club next week to defend his title at the major championship.

Not to forget, with his win at the major championship event last year, Lefty became the oldest major championship winner in golf. He broke Julius Boros’ record, who won the same event in 1968 at 48. Mickelson won the event in 2021 to claim his sixth major championship win. He ended the event with an overall score of six-under-par. As a result, Phil won with a comfortable two-shot lead after the final round on Sunday at the demanding golf course. Moreover, he carded a final round of one-over-par, 73 to finish atop the leaderboard.

His round of 73 included three birdies and three bogeys in the opening nine holes. As a result, he moved out in level-par, 36. Mickelson made three bogeys, two birdies, and four pars on the back nine to end his round. Louis Oosthuizen and Brooks Koepka finished as the runners-up to Phil. Both professionals ended the event with an overall score of four-under-par and settled for T2.
