FootJoy, as a brand, is celebrated for their unique innovative style, which it implements quite elegantly. The patented leather shoes feature blue uppers and collars, white overlays and heel counters, and a red lace cage. The golden eyelets are an ingenious addition that adds a bit of flair to the red backdrop.

VersaTrax comprises the outsole; it is popular for its durability and incredible grip regardless of the surface. It is certainly a thoughtful design for golfers who need to battle lush greenery, sand, and water in similar measures.

Recently, in 2022, legendary golfer, Tiger Woods also expressed his newfound love for FootJoy owing to his age and constricted mobility. “I have very limited mobility now. Just with the rods and plates and screws that are in my leg, I needed something different, something that allowed me to be more stable. That’s what I’ve gone to,” he said.

How FootJoy came to be synonymous with Golf shoes

Back in 1927, the Field and Flint company released an edition of golf shoes that were so comfortable and stylish that Walter Hagen’s entire team opted for them during the Ryder Cup. The line of footwear reflected innovation and high quality.

Shortly after, the Field and Flint company was acquired by Stone and Tarlow. General Mills Inc. then purchased a controlling interest. The preliminary success of the particular line of footwear that attracted the attention of golfers became the primary focus of the new acquisition. The company was eventually renamed FootJoy, and diverted wholly into producing a variety of golf equipment.
