What mistake did Justin Thomas make?

Justin had posted a picture of his fiancée and himself on his Instagram, enjoying the picturesque view of Big Sur, California. While the photos looked beautiful, the golfer made a spelling mistake when he added the caption; Instead of writing “fiancée,” Justin wrote “fiancé.”

The terms “fiancé” and “fiancée” were originated in France and denote the engaged man and woman, respectively. While the pronunciation of both words is the same, there is a slight difference in the spelling; the male counterpart word has one ‘e’ at the end while the female counterpart word has two ‘e.’

Although just a minor spelling error, the University of California-Berkeley graduate, Collin was having none of it. He was in no mood to accept such a simple error from his friend.

“Speaking from experience, fiancée* 😂.” A simple comment like this from Morikawa was all Justin needed to understand his mistake. The latter was gentleman enough to reply to the comment, adding how clueless he was of the situation. He wrote back: “@collin_morikawa not gonna lie, I had no idea this was even a thing! Just looked it up. Thanks for helping me learn something today 😂.”

Notably, JT announced his engagement news while in an interview on a podcast. He and Jillian Wisniewski, a Senior Business Manager at an advertising firm, have been dating since 2016.
