In Gee Chun is an LPGA pro-golfer who is leading the Women’s PGA Championship. The South Korean athlete won her first title in the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open. She is also one of the most decorated players on the Women’s PGA Tour.

The South Korean golfer hit nine birdies and made it a spectacular 64 in the first round of the 2022 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. In Gee Chun did so with a score vs field average of 12.04 strokes. For reference, Tiger Woods’ career-best field average stands at 10.19, which is nearly two shots less than what the 27-year-old recorded.

Chun appeared highly focused during her game. The athlete has been among the top women golfers ever since she turned pro. She has also won a few majors in her career, along with some other events.

Thomas tweeted, “I can’t stop staring at the leaderboard. Leading by 7 halfway thru day 1!!!!” on Thursday being as amazed as everyone else. The five-time PGA winner was about to play in the Travelers Championship which is due in a few days but he suffered a back injury, putting him in a condition not fit to play.

Chun responds to Thomas’ tweet
Knowing the condition Thomas is in right now, Chun took advantage and replied to Thomas on Twitter by saying, “Really? Then, keep watching until Sunday~ The best way to rest your back”. The golfer’s response to the former FedEx Cup Winner is taking the fans on a joyride. Fans recently discovered that the ever-humble woman golf leader also has a fun side to her.

Chun is on route to win the third Major title in her career as a golfer. She earlier won her first title at the US Women’s Open in 2015. The golfer won her second major the following year at the Evian Championship. However, she only has three LPGA wins, which also includes her two major wins.
