The former World No.1 came clean on the real reason, explaining it was “an intense battle on the golf course” before stating the funnier side of things. Fallon then revealed the picture of the combatant, a nice, fluffy pet dog!

As it happened, his fiance’s pet dog, Dale, attacked Thomas. The golfer revealed the chain of incidents that went from the pair being friends to enemies. “So it’s my fiance’s, maid of honor, we are in Chicago’s best weekend staying in their house… looked up in the morning and Dale was there, greeted us while we are in bed,” Thomas said before making a decent impression of the attack that proceeded after.

What else did Thomas reveal on The Tonight Show?

The 2-time Major Championship winner disclosed key details from his preparations before the start of a new season. He revealed that a bucket list was made for the entire season, and for the entire crew as well. JT even gave a sneak peek at his goals for the recently concluded season.

Of the objectives he checked out were: winning a Major Championship, playing the Tour Championship, and making the US Presidents Cup Team. Thomas won the 2022 PGA Championship at the Southern Hills Championship Course via a playoff and skated through a lopsided Presidents Cup with a personal score of 4-1-0.

Among the things he didn’t achieve included: securing victory in four or more competitions, finishing in the top 10 in all four Major Championships, and reclaiming the number one position in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).
