Having known each other for decades, both golfers have a relationship where friendship and rivalry co-exist. They first faced each other during the Junior All-Star event at Walnut Creek Country Club’s Pecan Course in Texas. Spieth took a lead back then, winning by five. “I think we’ve kind of pushed each other at every level,” said Thomas, adding that they are always competing. “It’s just now we’re at the top level you can get.”
