A paid partnership is not uncommon for an athlete with a hundred thousand followers – or more. Sometimes as a one-time promotion, athletes often promote brands they are already associated with. This includes PGA Tour star Bryson DeChambeau, who recently promoted The Net Return – a brand that makes training nets.

DeChambeau has been using the product for some time and will be doing a giveaway soon. DeChambeau, one of the most popular golfers right now, surely holds the power to influence fans into buying what he uses, not just limited to his clubs and apparel. This time though, DeChambeau’s promo was interrupted by an unexpected inquiry by none other than Justin Thomas.

What did Justin Thomas have to say about Bryson DeChambeau’s net sign?
“@thenetreturn has been such a huge part of my everyday success,” he wrote “It has helped me get to speeds I never would have thought were possible. I am pumped to announce I will be giving away a signed net to one lucky fan”. To enter, all one needs to do is like the post, follow DeChambeau and follow The Net Return.
Thomas, in the comments, appeared a little confused. However, he seemed to be subtly poking fun at the eight-time PGA Tour winner. “How tf you sign a net dude,” Thomas asked, appearing amused.

Of course, as one cannot sign a net, Thomas seemed to be latching on to the literal meaning here. It goes without saying that fans seemed to love the small interaction. Many replied with laughing emojis, some fans actually coming up with some ideas that could help one write on the net.

Has DeChambeau’s 2021-22 season started?
DeChambeau is yet to start his 2022 season, having played the World Long Drive Championship and Ryder Cup. Both events have drawn enough attention his way. The US Team won 19-9 against the Europeans, a historic feat. Dechambeau scored 2-0-1 in what was his second Ryder Cup.

On the other hand, Justin Thomas will be playing the CJ CUP at the Summit Club in Las Vegas. Like DeChambeau, he too has played the Tour Championship last, along with the Ryder Cup. This was also Thomas’ second Ryder Cup. He averaged 2-1-1 at Whistling Straits.
