After two days showcase of quality golf, the 2022 PNC Championship finally ended at The Ritz-Carlton GC in Orlando. From Gary Player and Lee Trevino joking around to Tiger Woods laughing at Charlie doing the fist pump after making an eagle, there were several fun memories born at the event. This also includes the unofficial Champions Tour event officials calling out the LIV Golf defector Kevin Na after a 11-year-old recreated his special move on Saturday.

Although many fan-favorite teams couldn’t win the event, the event presented a lot of memories for the golf world to remember for a long time. And one of them was the LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam‘s son Will McGee’s ‘walking in putt.’

PNC Championship mentioned Kevin Na after McGee’s walking in putt
Whether he joined the rival league or not, Kevin Na will always be remembered as the golfer who walks in before the ball reaches the hole while making a putt. He started doing it a long time back. Notably, even the 15-time major champion Tiger Woods imitated his actions when they both played in the same group at the 2022 Sony Open in Hawaii.

Viewers can see that Sorenstam’s son walked towards the hole before the ball reached it on the 12th hole in the first round. Since it was an iconic moment, and the caption from the PNC officials was funny. It attracted many fans to share their viewpoints.

Na joined the LIV Golf Invitational Series earlier this year. He is one of the players to resign from the PGA Tour before teeing off at the league. Hence, many Tour fans’ comments reflected their hatred toward him for joining the Series. Notably, the fans also mentioned how the young McGee showcased his incredible golfing this week with their comments.
Did Will McGee and Annika Sorenstam win the 2022 PNC Championship?
The mother-son pair presented some quality golf moments in the Tour Champions event. However, the duo didn’t win the event and could only secure the T17 place.

Vijay Singh and his son Qass Singh won the event, which according to pgatour.com, was their first in their last 16 appearances. Notably, the defending champions, Team Daly, secured the second position along with Team Thomas.
Win or lose, it doesn’t matter in the PNC Championship. What matters is professionals play the sport with one of their family members and enjoy it thoroughly. And Will McGee and Annika Sorenstam, and others on the Rtiz-Carlon field, did just that.
