Further, he went on to talk about the ranking money each player gets and recounting a tale from last year, he said, “I actually looked before the week started and I double checked Saturday night because I was fourth going into Sunday. And I was paired with Justin Thomas and I was like ‘win, was a little bit out of reach.‘”

“And I was like, ‘man if I can improve one spot, let’s see what the payout difference was’- and it was a million dollar difference! It was $4 million for third and $3 million for fourth. And I was like, ‘man, I gotta just beat one guy and I’m gonna make a million? This is worth it! Let’s go grind!'” And grind he did! Cause at the end of the year, he beat JT and climbed a spot to the third one, successfully bagging $4 million!
