Woods described the incident from his perspective. He said“When I looked up, the hot dog was already in the air,…” “The bun was kind of disintegrating.” Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship and has not played on the field ever since. There were several questions about whether he would be able to get back to his best form. However, it looked like his game improved a lot when he played at CordeValle.

Woods said that the man did not scare him at all as he never got close to the golfer. He said he heard some movement from the security behind him, and when he looked up, the man had already launched the hot dog. “I guess he wanted to be in the news,” Woods said. After the game, head of security Dan Diggins said that the man would surely be arrested for “everything” he did. He called the man an “idiot” and said things “could have been really bad.”

Although the man tried to come in the way of Woods’ game, there were more reasons as well. Woods’ leg injury didn’t allow him to perform quite as well as he once did. But he still managed to play 10 full rounds after the Masters.
