Golf’s best? It would not be a long shot to dub the 15X major champ as the same. From winning 82 times on the PGA Tour to staying at the top of the rankings for the longest time, Tiger Woods has been nothing short of competitive and iconic. But, is he arrogant because of the same? Oh no, no way! The Hall of Famer has always stood out for his humility in his career.

Now, as the pro just celebrated his 48th birthday, a certain PGA Tour pro, or a “peer” of the American you could say, could not help but recall an experience he had with the legend. However, while doing so, one couldn’t help but notice the modest side of Mr. T yet again as he indulged in a fan service of sorts!

PGA Tour pro shares his Tiger Woods experience

While engaging in fan meetings, be it a fellow golfer such as Nelly Korda, or an unknown person, he has always carried himself out in a humble manner. Case in point, it was Michael Kim, this time around, who also turned out to be a fan of Woods as the professional revealed his “Tiger Story,” a gift for the American, a while back.

By sharing a tweet on his X handle, the 30-year-old recounted a 2019 Players experience with the legend while “dining with Zach Johnson.” Continuing on, the 1X PGA Tour champ mentioned how he followed his “good friend” Johnson to TW’s table where he “had just sat down to eat by himself.” Grabbing the opportunity, he went ahead and sat down with the duo.

Adding on, the athlete reminisced how he listened intently” to their conversation in awe. Totally starstruck, one could say! However, while doing so, he made sure to leave his “player credentials” on top of the table they were eating on so that the 82X PGA Tour champ would notice. Well, his actions did not end up in disappointment as Mr. T went ahead to say “Have a good week Michael” as he was leaving. Kim ended his tale by hilariously confessing how he tells everyone he and Woods are “peers” now!

This is not the only time the 15X major champ has showcased his humble bearings on or off the course. Moreover, during his professional career, he has been extremely caring towards his fans, be it a fellow professional he knows like Nelly Korda or someone he isn’t familiar with!

The younger Korda sister had never met her idol despite being in the same game professionally. However, she got her chance during the 2021 PNC Championship when the athlete played the event with her father Petr Korda. A video of the LPGA Tour pro making her way up slowly to Woods to take a picture along with her brother and father has since then made the headlines several times in the golf world.

There’s yet another moment when the legend made one of his fan’s dreams come true and that too during the 2023 World Wide Technology when his course, El Cardonal at Diamante, hosted its first PGAT event. Chase Johnson, who earned an exemption into the same was an ardent fan of the Hall of Famer but had failed to meet his hero many times over his life.

Come WWT, Woods walked up to the tee box as the athlete was gearing up for a practice round. And, Chase made use of the moment to introduce himself all the while asking for a picture. However, such a moment would not have been possible if not for the 48-year-old’s modest side. Nevertheless, a true fanboy moment indeed!
