TGL’s second season began with plenty of buzz. With the first two matches being so interesting (Billy Ho’s iconic 37-foot putt and Boston getting its first win), the third match saw big names from all over the sports fraternity in the audience.

Kyle Tucker, Michael Brantley, and George Springer were spotted in attendance to watch Atlanta Drive vs. Bay Golf Club, instantly turning heads among the crowd in the SoFi Center. The baseball trio blended seamlessly into the tech-forward atmosphere of TGL.
This isn’t the first time that Kyle Tucker has been spotted in an indoor golf setting. The 28-year-old baseball outfielder is the founder of a nonprofit organization, the Kyle Tucker Foundation. Back in February 2025, his foundation organized the 4th Annual Kyle Tucker Foundation Tampa Topgolf event to raise funds to support hospice care throughout the Tampa Bay and Houston communities.

Tucker also likes to golf sometimes. Just 2 weeks ago, he posted a picture from the golf course he was playing at and asked his fans if anyone was up for a round. LIV golfer Joaquin Niemann didn’t miss the chance and asked Tucker to meet him at TPC Toronto.
Then, the former Houston Astros star, too, has been spotted before with clubs. Just a month back, on December 5, 2025, Brantley showed off his putting precision in an Instagram video.

CEO of PGA Tour, Brian Rolapp, and LPGA pro Lexi Thompson were also in attendance. Team USA’s captain for the 2025 Ryder Cup and Boston Common Golf member, Keegan Bradley, was also there. LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler was there, too, after the announcement of WTGL.

TMRW Sports announces WTGL
For months, several renowned names from the LPGA were waiting for this change to come. Not only Nelly Korda, but also Michelle Wie West, Jeeno Thitikul, Rose Zhang, and Lilia Vu echoed the same thoughts. Now, finally, TMRW Sports and TGL have announced it, in partnership with the LPGA. WTGL is targeting a winter 2026–27 launch, with more details coming soon.

Reflecting on the impacts and importance of having a women’s tech league, Thompson shared, “I think it means so much. What TGL has done for the guys—it just brings a whole different fan base to the game of golf. I think that’s what’s needed. It’s quicker golf, different shots, obviously hitting into a screen, but having all those numbers… I think fans really get involved more and see the personalities of the guys, and now the women. So, it’s just amazing for the game of golf in general, but especially the women’s side.”

Lilia Vu, on the other hand, added, “I think it would be really cool not to get a women’s version of it, but to get a women’s team on it.”
The LPGA Commissioner, too, seems elated with the massive announcement. Right after the announcement, Kessler attended the last TGL match between the Atlanta Drive Golf Club between the Bay Golf Club. Kessler voiced his thoughts and shared how he has noticed new formats of game interests. He further claimed that WTGL would just offer a new “global stage” for the LPGA athletes and help them grow while also elevating the sport.

Such a step would not only provide the talented athletes of the LPGA a ground to show their phenomenal calibre but would also help them take women’s sport to a whole new level. Now that the dream of many is finally taking shape into reality, fans would only wait with bated breath to witness the wonder women of golf tee up for the tech league.
