After Spiranac realized that she was surprisingly gaining attention from millions of people, her mother described the golfer’s reaction. “I’ll never forget the day the craziness began,” Spiranac’s mother said“She was getting thousands of new Instagram followers every hour…Paige was in her room, laying on the floor in a fetal position, crying.” Her mother said that Spiranac was unable to process the attention she was receiving from her fans.

Paige Spiranac has had a rough childhood and didn’t receive much support from her friends in school. There was a time when Spiranac had a severe case of asthma and had to use an inhaler. It was so serious that she had to be rushed to a hospital at man occasions. She could not even own a pet due to her condition, and her mother would sit next to her all night to make sure she was okay.
