LIV Golf started out with a game on the course early in June this year. For the past few months, the series has constantly been in the limelight. Since its incorporation, many iconic players have left the PGA Tour to join the Saudi-backed league, like Phil Mickelson, Cameron Smith, and Brooks Koepka.

Both Smith and Phil faced off against each other in the quarterfinals of the LIV Championship in Miami today. Smith sank a seven-foot birdie to knock out Phil and his team. The commentator, Arlo White, soon after this final shot, announced, “A match that will be etched into LIV Golf lore.” The fans had lots to say about that.

Mickelson is wearing shorts and has played at least nine thousand money games he cared about more than this. “ To the fans it looked like Phil couldn’t care less.
