The federal holiday of US Veterans Day is here. Just like the rest of the country, the folks on and off the greens of golf have also shown their patriotism and love for the service of the US Armed Forces.

Expressing their thoughts through their means, the players have hoisted the American flag on their sleeves, even outside of the pro-competitive world. In an Instagram update, LPGA players Jessica Korda, Lexi Thompson, and LIV Golf’s Talor Gooch greeted the country and expressed gratitude for the veterans!

Lexi Thompson posted a story on her Instagram with the American flag, and the caption under the picture read: “Thank you to all the men and women that have served our country. Your service is always remembered and appreciated.” This was followed by a heart emoji and an American flag.

Following suit, Jessica Korda added a post on her story: “On Veterans Day we honor the enduring legacy of those grounded in faith, service, and the courage to be brave. Thank you for your service and unwavering dedication.

The Rangers GC posted a video of Talor Gooch talking about Veterans Day. In the clip, the golfer admitted that he grew up with military kids, so it was an everyday experience for him to have the military around. “The golf course I grew up on, there were B52s and all kinds of planes flying over constantly. So, it was an everyday experience… it is hard not to get patriotic,” the pro remarked.

It’s clear that the day of honoring the war veterans is one of importance to all these stars; however, they aren’t the only ones to whom it means so much.

This isn’t the first time that the golfing world has taken to commemorate the heroes of the country. A few years ago, the golfing legend Tiger Woods himself shared some of his thoughts about honoring someone very close to his heart!

Woods’ father played a big role in his upbringing, and he was the one who introduced Woods to the dreamy world of golf. Thanking his father, the player also added, “Grateful to my Pops, and all of you, for your service.”
