The schedule for the 2022/23 season of the PGA Tour was released yesterday. With the emergence of LIV Golf, the PGA Tour has announced a record prize money for the upcoming season. However, the schedule and traveling time for the events have left several golfers upset including the South Korean golfer James Hahn.

The calendar for the upcoming season has a record amount of prize money and eight invitationals dispersed throughout, where players will compete for prize money that ranges from $15 to $25 million. There are three separate bonus pools totaling $145 million: $50 million for the Player Impact Program, $20 million for the Comcast Business TOUR TOP 10, and $75 million for the FedExCup.

Despite the inflation in prize money, the PGA Tour golfers were distressed with the continuous schedule of the tournaments. Moreover, after each tournament, the destination for the next event is very far, which ends up making the golfers exhausted. James Hahn shared his thoughts on Twitter.

Hahn shared his displeasure by pointing out the traveling days and the expenses that will be incurred during the forthcoming season. He let everyone know his thoughts on Twitter in an unfiltered rant.

James Hahn tweeted, “Take a look at the new PGA Tour schedule and you’ll understand why players are upset. Vegas to Japan to South Carolina to Bermuda to Mexico? For the viewers, it’s a flick of a remote. For us, it’s 20 hour travel days and tens of thousands of dollars in expenses.”

A few moments later Hahn criticizes the PGA Tour for their destination preference. He also claims how the less known golfers including himself, have feelings too. The 40-year-old tweeted, “We should be playing in major cities, places where they have an NFL football team. Not Bermuda and Puerto Rico. Us little guys have feelings too.”

In the end, James Hahn talks about how most golfers have been leaving the 92-year-old Golf Tour for the LIV Golf by claiming to want to spend more time with their families. In his final rant through the tweet, Hahn said, “Do you see the hypocrisy. Players are leaving the Tour because they want to spend more time with their families among other things. But when I address our scheduling issue, it’s considered whining and insignificant. Can’t win with you guys.”

Though James Hahn’s cry for help may seem a little overdramatic, he has a point. With such a hectic schedule compared to the relaxed calendar year of the LIV Golf, we may see more PGA Tour players leave the Tour. But instead of monetary benefits, they may leave for a much comfortable season schedule.
