LIV Golf players have had a very on-and-off relationship with most of the mainstream events in the golf world. The league has often presented itself as a controversial set-up in the golf realm.

In the midst of recent tension sparked by his allegations against the PGA Tour and his criticism of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) system favoring PGA players, Louis Oosthuizen seems to have shifted his focus to a major event.

Louis Oosthuizen thinks the OWGR system is not transparent

Louis Oosthuizen, in an interview recently, firmly criticized the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) system, calling it “ridiculous” because of its bias for the PGA Tour.

OWGR has been questioned by LIV Golf players like Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau, who, because of the lack of opportunities to earn points outside LIV events, have fallen off the top 100 rankings. LIV Golf is currently in the midst of pursuing OWGR accreditation, and Oosthuizen’s criticism should speed up the process.
