The temperature of the hot mic at LIV events seems to be at an all-time high, courtesy of Tyrrell Hatton. Well, the golfer’s recent actions on the greens at Miami have helped him join his skipper, Jon Rahm, to carry forward the NSFW rant to yet another level. Extremely frustrated with a shot he made during the final day’s play, the Legion XIII member did not hold back but instead wore his emotions on his sleeves.

Interestingly, a clip of the same went viral on the internet. However, the reactions of the netizens weren’t what one normally expected them to be. Some loved it, while others didn’t. Some were impressed, while others left unimpressed. Anyhow, Hatton sure did turn many heads with his words.

The Englishman had five more holes left to play. But surprisingly, all the attention came to be focused on him at the par-4, 14th hole after his tee shot with his Ping G430 LST. Unfortunately, after the drive, the ball went ahead and bounced twice to make its way to the roughs, and Hatton, didn’t seem to like it one bit as he reacted, “F—king what a wank bounce that was, if it f—king bounces left it’s fine… F—K YOU! The f—king c—t”

The result? Well, at the 475-yard hole, he managed to score an even par, which was then followed by two bogeys at the 16th and the 18th. This, in turn, resulted in him finishing at T4 tied with two other professionals, Rahm and Marc Leishman, at 8-under 208 over the three days.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that Tyrrell Hatton has managed to turn the air blue. Back in Vegas, where he finished T12, he had gone ahead to miss a birdie putt on the 17th. Consequently, this led to him angrily screaming out, “So many times… F—k these greens.” However, the reaction from the internet back then and now seems to be different, as the recent rant also found a bit of humor and understanding in the community.

Frustrated Hatton’s antics send the internet into an uproar

Even the golfer wouldn’t have imagined such a response to the on-course rant that came as a result of his shot. There were a lot of reactions on the internet, with many complimenting him for being real while others bashing him for cursing out on the greens.

This is not something that he has started doing after joining LIV Golf. Back when he was part of the PGA Tour, the professional was known to be very expressive on the course. Surprisingly, during the 2024 Sentry, he had yelled out a frustrating “f**k you” because of the spheroid he hit landing on the rough beside the greens.

Truly a similar situation to the recent one! Thus, his swearing on the course wasn’t anything new for many followers. As a result, some fans also expressed their eagerness while watching the video, as they commented, “I was waiting for someone to post this. love it man hahahaha,” and “Don’t ever change, Tyrrell. You are the best at keeping golf real, and relatable!” However, the cream of the crop came when a fan went ahead to count the number of times he swore in his video, “Five F bombs, a C bomb and a casual w*nk thrown into the mix just to top it off.”

On the other hand, some netizens do not seem to be so lenient with the golfer. Back at the start of the event, Tyrrell Hatton’s skipper Rahm had also gone through a similar situation when he went ahead to drop an F-bomb. This, in turn, led to many followers on X calling him out for the same through social media. Consequently, it happened this time around as well when some users commented, “Disgraceful to the game,” and “I’m not a prude, but that’s not a great example to set.” What’s more, an enthusiast of the game even went ahead to point out why this is the reason why he doesn’t watch the breakaway league, “Exact reason I won’t watch liv…. I watch with kids.”

Adding on, there were also other PGA Tour loyalists present among the followers who commented on the video, as some pointed out the number of people attending the tournament in Miami. They responded along the lines, “The 10 people there were impressed,” and “Wow look at that crowd.”
