The American actress and model was born in Winder, Georgia, on December 30th, 1988. Golf has been a part of the now-35-year-old’s life since childhood. It made its way into her life through her father’s liking of the game and attempts to get her to pick up a similar interest as his. Even though her father was able to teach her sister, Hannah Sims, how to swing a club and turn into an avid golfer, Jena chose to caddy for her loved ones (including Brooks Koepka) from time to time as part of her connection to the sport.

But her personal interests lied elsewhere. She found her calling in cheerleading, dancing, and gymnastics in her developmental years. She went on to major in international business at Belmont University. After which, she took on to use her beauty and talent as a model and actor and was featured in movies and shows like Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader, Sharknado 5, Entourage, Dexter, and One Tree Hill.

Destiny, however, works in mysterious ways. Years later, after choosing not to pursue golf as a career, Sims fell in love with Brooks Koepka, a professional golfer at the peak of his still-progressing career, and started a family with him.

Sims was titled the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie in 2023. Interestingly, Sims was 7-month pregnant when she walked the ramp for the competition. Being grateful for not being “alone up” on the stage, she said, “It takes courage to walk the runway 7 months pregnant. Working for my lifelong dream brand, having no control over my body was terrifying yet the biggest blessing. I was never alone up there.Pregnancy is not slowing my ambitions, it’s fueling them. I am so proud of myself and what my body is accomplishing.”

She is currently gearing up to feature on the cover of the May 2024 issue of SI Swimsuit, where she has foregone dieting and is solely relying on weight training and breastfeeding to get back into her best possible shape for the feature, thus advocating for body positivity for new mothers like herself. But Jena Sims’s body-positive attitude does not end here. So what’s more?
