Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood in friendly banter

The Team Championship in Miami would witness the Majesticks GC, co-captained by Poulter, take on the Fireballs GC, led by Sergio Garcia, in the quarterfinals on Friday. Even as the golfing duo gears up to face the Spaniard-led group, it doesn’t stop the two golfers from enjoying themselves by engaging in a hilarious fight of sorts.

In a series of stories uploaded by the two LIV golfers on their Instagram handles, the teammates took turns throwing jabs at each other. Westwood started it off by posting a picture of his colleague in an all-white tracksuit while adding the caption “Someone is getting s**t from the @rippersgc for the tracksuit,” teasing him for the absurd style that he is famous for.

However, Poulter snapped back by resharing the same while pointing out how both of them have “worn a lot worse.” The 47-year-old then went ahead to post a picture of his teammate donning a very peculiar outfit on the course. However, both of them seemed to have reached some sort of compromise, as the third story showed the 3X PGA Tour champ mention how Westwood himself said everyone should have worn one of those white tracks. Hilarious, isn’t it?

Poulter and his on-course attire

The LIV golfer is known for his funky outfits on the golf course, with his pants standing out and grabbing most of the attention. The professional, after 2005–06, took the decision to create his own line of clothes to wear on the greens, leading to the formation of his company, IJP Design. The 47-year-old was reportedly unhappy with the mainstream pants worn by the golfers during the game, leading him to the bold decision.
