LIV Golf News: Harold Varner III’s Career Earnings of 2023

Harold Varner III had a good year on the course! However, his joy came crashing down when he was in the news for the wrong reason! Varner has been the talk of the town for a couple of days because of his DWI arrest in South Charlotte. Despite the frustrating ending, his 2023 season sure deserves praise!

The golfer has had a wonderful year, as he won once on the LIV Golf and had many top-20 finishes, not just on the LIV Golf but also on the Asian Tour. Varner III played in many events in 2023, and hence his career earnings were way higher than expected. This year, Varner III’s career earnings were similar to what he had earned on the PGA Tour since 2013. What took him 10 years to earn on the tour was achieved in just a year at LIV Golf.

Harold Varner III was seventh in the 2023 LIV Golf individual standings and had won one event in the 2023 season. His first event in 2023 was LIV Golf Mayakoba in Mexico. HVIII finished T27 with one over 214 and bagged $158,000. Then at Gallery Golf Club in Tuscon, he was T24 with 2 under and earned $197,500.

In the next three events of the LIV Golf at Orlando, Adelaide, and Singapore, Varner III consistently had top-20 finishes. From these three events held in March and April, Varner III earned $994,666. In May, he attained the solo fourth position at the LIV Golf Tulsa with 13 under 197. This position earned him a massive $1,000,000.

Coming to the LIV Golf Invitational in Washington, DC, the golfer won and earned $4 million, with 12 under 204. In the next two events in London and Andalucia, Varner III won $340,000 and $140,000, respectively. At Greenbrier, he had a solo 6th finish and collected $700,000, while at Bedminster, he was tied for 18 and accumulated $240,000.

Additionally, at LIV Golf Chicago, he was T29 with three under 210 and gained $156,000. At the season-ending individual championship in Jeddah, HVIII was tied for third and had bagged $1,100,000, while at the team championship in Miami, he got $800,000 as his team RangeGoats GC was second on the leaderboard. In 2023, HVIII earned $9,826,166 on LIV Golf. Moreover, his overall career earnings surpassed the $10 million threshold as he played on other tours as well.

Varner’s earnings from two other leagues

In 2023, Harold Varner III played three times on the Asian Tour and twice at the Majors. He played the Masters in April and the PGA Championship in May, finished at T29 in both events, and won $215,236. On the Asian Tour, he played in the Hong Kong Open, the St. Andrews Bay Championship, and the Saudi International.

In the HK Open, HVII was tied for eighth, whereas at the Bay Championship, he held the T30 position, and at the Saudi International, he was T46. From these three appearances, Harold Varner III accumulated $76,243.75. In total, Harold Varner III’s 2023 earnings were $10,217,645.8. In utter amazement, the golfer’s entire career earnings from the PGA Tour were around his 2023 paychecks, coming at $10,618,502.
