The fallout between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf is increasing each day. Moreover, the DP World Tour has entered this ongoing war and has supported its long-time partner, the PGA Tour. The DP World Tour has banned LIV golfers from competing in the upcoming three events, including the Scottish Open.

Furthermore, the LIV golfers also need to pay fines of 100,000 pounds to the DP World Tour. Challenging this decision, 16 LIV Golf players have threatened the DP World Tour with legal action. These 16 players include prominent names like Lee Westwood, Ian, Poulter, and others.

LIV Golf players have threatened to sue the DP World Tour.

The LIV golfers are trying to strike back at the DP World Tour. They recently wrote an open letter to the DP World Tour chief executive, Keith Pelley. The players have threatened the DP World Tour with legal action. The players claim that the punishment given by the DP World Tour is unfair and unlawful.

Meanwhile, the DP World Tour took this decision recently after a meeting with the PGA Tour. Hence, the 16 LIV Golf competitors from this week’s Portland have signed this letter. But DP World hasn’t replied to this letter yet.

However, the players have mentioned that their intention is not to create a further divide. This letter is a response to the tour statements and the question that the tour should answer, and they are ready to discuss this issue in detail.

Furthermore, they also mentioned that the DP World Tour is weakening its position by expanding its relationship with the PGA Tour. They believe the DP World Tour is playing second fiddle, and this relationship isn’t in the best interest of the European circuit.

In this manner, the 16 LIV Golf players have put forward a plethora of points in the open letter. Additionally, they have given the DP World Tour a deadline to cancel the suspension and fine, which ends approximately at 5 pm today.

Will the DP World Tour cancel the suspension?

Meanwhile, as of now, the chances of suspensions and fines getting canceled are minimal. The DP World Tour has shown faith in the PGA Tour and has backed them instead of joining the Saudi-backed rival league. However, the Asian Tour is with LIV Golf and has co-sanctioned these events.
